Tourism is one Alberta's fastest growing industries. In fact, it is our third
largest industry. Tourism studies, as part of Career and Technology Studies,
will provide students the opportunity to develop skills they can apply now and in
the future. Students will learn tourism knowledge, as well as skills and
attitudes regarding self, society and the workplace. Themes include an overview
of the industry, service sectors (food, accommodation, attractions), and travel.
There is a strong focus on careers in each of these areas.
Fee: There will be several field trips (approximately $20.00).
