Band

For students who like music and have always wanted to learn to play an instrument, JOHN WARE SCHOOL BAND is the place to be.

Students have the chance to learn to play woodwind, brass or percussion instruments and to participate in a wonderful Junior High School Band.

While in the John Ware School, students will receive classroom instruction, professional clinics on individual instruments, camp and travel opportunities as well as the opportunity to perform in many concerts and Festivals.

Band students have five Band classes per week - three in the 6-day timetable as well as two additional instructional classes before or after regular school hours, giving the students many extra hours of instructional and performance time during the year. In comparison to private music lessons, School Band is wonderful bargain - instrumental music instruction within a social setting, giving the students an opportunity to develop musical skills while spending time with other adolescents with same interests.
